Here you’ll find my master’s thesis entitled, rather ambitiously I might add, Shakespeare Wrote No Characters. As readers of Shakespeare, we are comfortable thinking of the Bard as the genesis of the literary character, but this thesis challenges that commonplace by taking readers on a fascinating, fast-paced journey through a vision of the renaissance that may challenge everything you think about Shakespeare and his legendary characters.
